Extra Virgin Olive Oil


Arbequina Olives    

Grown in Yolo County, California


Finally a delicious, local olive oil for the people! Marianne found this well rounded oil at an olive mill right here in Stockton, California. The olives are grown in Yolo County by a farmer who is transitioning his groves to be certified organic. This arbequina has a full, round  olive-y flavor with out a lot of bitter or harsh finish. It is fantastic for dipping and finishing, but at this price you can support local farmers and merrily use this oil every day for cooking, salads, even mayonnaise. Always store olive oil in a cool, dark place.

Flavored Olive Oils - Fall 2013 Harvest

                Meyer Lemon  •   Sweet Basil  •   Roasted Garlic

Olives Grown in Yolo County, CA


These flavored oils boast both a rich olive taste as well as a fruit/herb flavor. Fresh California grown Blood Oranges, Meyer Lemons and Roasted Garlic were pressed along with the olives at the time of the crush last fall (2012). Most flavored oils are in a very mild oil base but ours have a rich fully flavored Arbequina. So you get 2 oils in one; a robust olive oil and a flavor as well!

This is really special! The barrel aged balsamic above is combined with cooked fruit reductions. Each flavor has its devotees and each is addictive. Use for dipping and for glazes and rubs on, meats, fish, pasta, vegetables. . . Many people pour it over ice cream! Once you start adding these balsamics to your flavor arsenal, the possibilities are endless.

CA Prickly Pear White Balsamic Vinegar

The newest addition to our lineup, this vinegar is a brilliant pink color and has a sweet yet zing-y flavor. Prickly pears are the fruit of the nopal cactus. In addition to having a bold flavor reminiscent of watermelon and kiwi, researchers have found them to have anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant qualities. Thick like the dark balsamics, and ready to become a favorite in your kitchen on salads, as a marinade for shrimp or chicken, and as a glaze for grilled chicken or even tofu. It might even be good on pancakes or in seltzer water for a “soda”.
